Mitt Romney picks Paul Ryan

BusinessDaily.eu – By Mikkel Roland Egesberg – Mitt Romney, the Republican Party’s nominee for the US presidential election 2012, has now picked his running mate, Paul Ryan, a member of the U.S. House of Representative from Wisconsin, who currently chairs the House Budget Committee. (The US Congress has 535 voting Members, the House of Representatives has 435 members, and the Senate that has a membership of 100 senators). Ryan is of Irish and German ancestry, but is a fifth-generation Wisconsin native. He has a B.A. degree in economics and political science from Miami University in Ohio.

If the Obama campain is going to attack him personally, they might point out that he seems to have done what some would consider insider trading on Wall Street. This was on Wikipedia just when Paul Ryan got picked by Romney, but has since been removed:

On September 18, 2008, Ryan attended a closed meeting with congressional leaders, then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, and was urged to craft legislation to help financially troubled banks. That same day Ryan sold shares in various troubled banks and invested in Goldman Sachs (Wikipedia).
